Our Story
More Than a Place
to Sleep
Full Moon Inn is a living, breathing piece of Texas. Doug & Jenny have poured their hearts into 11 acres of gardens, trails, and gathering spaces — so every guest feels less like a visitor and more like family who just came home.
A hot plated breakfast. Fresh eggs from the chickens out back. Cold beer at the 1776 Bar on weekends. And every night, a Texas sky that reminds you why you came.
Doug & Jenny believe that running a business is also a calling to serve. A portion of every stay goes back into the Hill Country community — through people and causes that don’t make the headlines but matter deeply.
“We didn’t open the doors because it was good for business. We opened them because it was the right thing to do. That’s who we are.” Jenny McCombs, Co-Owner
The Experience
Life on the
Property
We built Full Moon Inn to be the kind of place you don't want to leave. Not because there's nothing to do outside — but because there's everything you need right here.

What Guests Are Saying
My family and I felt like family before we even arrived. The staff is genuinely interested in getting to know you. My 9-year-old was so excited to help with the goats and chickens. 100% will go back.
On my 7,000-mile road trip around America, staying at Full Moon was one of my best decisions. The grounds are amazing — the tiny chapel at twilight is unforgettable. The hosts made me feel right at home.
Room was clean and comfortable, hosts made you feel at home. Fresh eggs from the property, local meat — breakfast was extraordinary. Could not have been more happy with our stay.
We stayed in the Oil Boom room — the owners did a great job finding relics. The grounds follow the theme of old Texas perfectly. The proximity to Fredericksburg and the wineries is a huge plus.
Went for my niece's wedding. Very nice. The historic decor inside was great to see. The owners were very accommodating. After the wedding settled down, the owners came and talked a while on the porch. Wonderful.
The black cat was a loving ambassador to all guests. The breakfast in the morning and drinks in the evening made meeting other guests so easy. A genuinely memorable experience from start to finish.
